How a property business overcame reporting challenges and saved over $2K

The Challenge: Our client came to us looking for a solution to remove the administrative burden of creating specifically formatted reports required of various internal and external stakeholders.

Whilst the software used within the business housed the data necessary to produce the reports, the solutions lacked the ability to present the data in a way that met our clients needs. Reports were required monthly and they were time consuming to manually produce. It was not feasible to have their software provider develop a specific report for them directly from their system.

Marketplace tools used

The Solution: After an initial scoping meeting, we determined that an advanced pivot table built in Microsoft excel and populated each month by data exported from the management solution would address the challenge efficiently.

Marketplace talent developed the initial Pivot table template and associated workflow to capture the data and produce the necessary reports on an ongoing basis.

Marketplace talent now simply log in remotely to the clients management software on a set day each month, extract the necessary data, update the data to the excel pivot table and provide the resultant reports each month with no input required from the Client.

The Benefits: Not only has the marketplace allowed our client to free senior management of a rudimentary reporting task, it does so in half the time.

Approximately 3 hours of senior management time is now replaced with 1.5hrs of marketplace labour. The reports are produced each and every month, automatically, without any input from the client. There is no reminding staff or chasing busy managers each month just an email with the reports in the inbox ready to go.
